Dangerous Work!

Work was under way today to remove the dangerous horse chestnuts along the edge of the A286 by the Cocking Childrens' Playground.
Villagers will remember the similar tree behind the play area that fell down without any help, damaged the fence by the small swings and landed in the boules area. These trees are receiving the attention of several workman including our climber pictured here. At least in the short term, the appearance of the centre of the village will be greatly changed by the loss of these established specimens, but safety concerns have been deemed paramount.
